Join the Movement on #GivingTuesday
The Y is a place for connection – with yourself, other people and your community. Join the Y's efforts to address and fight against the impacts of the epidemic of loneliness and isolation declared by the Surgeon General Advisory.
We need your help to continue to create activities and opportunities to foster connections among people to combat the effects of loneliness and isolation in our community. According to a study by the University of New Hampshire, prolonged social isolation and loneliness can shorten a person's life span by up to 15 years and is equivalent to smoking 15 cigarettes a day.
This year's Giving Tuesday goal is to raise $10,000 to provide these opportunities – and more! – to our community. That could mean more open pickleball hours, coffee and tea times over bingo games for community building, and expanded opportunities for our members to strengthen their sense of connection. Your gift today can truly change the life of someone in a positive way!
