The Community Foundation of Greater Greensboro has awarded a grant to the YMCA of Greensboro Achievers, through the Foundation's Teen Grantmaking Council. The $1,174 grant will fund the Achievers' Gardening Tower Project, which focuses on helping solve the issue of food insecurity in the area.

In over 1 million visits to 96 locations across North Carolina during the months of Dec. 2020 and Jan. 2021, only 38 cases of COVID-19 were reported to YMCAs. That is a positivity rate of just .0038%, a decrease compared to the rate of .0045% reported between the months of Sept. and Nov. 2020.
