The YMCA of Greensboro is more than a network of branches. We bring free fitness classes in Greensboro, NC directly into the community. Our programs go beyond the walls of our facilities to offer free outdoor fitness classes, group exercise, and community wellness programs in local parks and gathering spaces across Guilford and Rockingham Counties.

By meeting people where they are, we make free workout classes and beginner-friendly fitness opportunities accessible to families, adults, and older adults alike. Our vision is to build a stronger, healthier community where equitable access to fitness and wellness is the norm for everyone in Greensboro and beyond.

Community Classes

Greenway Fitness

Get out and get moving with us! Our Greenway Fitness classes meet on Tuesday evenings from August through September. Greenway Fitness Classes are a variety of class styles to get you moving, including Zumba, HIIT, Cardio + Resistance, and more! All classes are held 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Yoga in the Park in Greensboro (Mind/Body Series)

Returning in spring 2026 and summer 2026! These classes are primarily yoga/meditation classes. Thank you to our program partners at the Greensboro Parks and Recreation office in Greensboro, North Carolina.

Mind/Body Classes at Wrenn Miller Park

Join us for a free outdoor wellness experience that nurtures the mind and body. These community-based classes focus on enhancing flexibility, reducing stress, and promoting overall well-being—open to all fitness levels and abilities.

Stay active, find your flow, and connect with others in your community. No registration required. Waivers are required for participation. Bring a mat, water, and a willingness to move!
