They are encouraged to work together to learn the skills needed to become positive role models, in both our camp and the community.

The first two weeks of the CIT Program are focused on intensive training in childcare skills and our various activity areas around camp. During the last week of the program, CITs are placed into cabins with some of our very best staff serving as their mentors for the week. Our top-scoring CITs will be among the first candidates that will be considered for staff the following year. Learn more about the YMCA Camp Weaver Counselor in Training program.
