In honor of our friend and longtime YMCA advocate, Kim McKone, we have created the Kim McKone Endowment Fund. The fund recognizes Kim's love for family and would, on a yearly basis, provide a scholarship at the Ragsdale Family YMCA to support youth and families in the Jamestown community.
Kim spent her career in the YMCA, serving in multiple roles at the Central YMCA in Winston-Salem, moving to the Mary Perry Ragsdale Family YMCA as Executive Director in Jamestown, and ultimately serving as the Community Outreach Director at the YMCA of Greensboro. She continually worked to better the community through Y programs and volunteer efforts. She devoted herself to the Y, and we hope this endowment will not only keep her memory alive, but also give new life to her vision for all in our community to have the opportunity to succeed.
To help reach our goal to raise $20,000, The Warwicks have generously pledged to give an additional $5,000 if we can raise the same amount by December 31.
