YMCA of Greensboro Announces Healthy Kids Day on April 27 at LeBauer Park
Greensboro, N.C., April 19, 2024 – The YMCA of Greensboro is thrilled to announce that Healthy Kids Day, a national event celebrating kids and families, will take place on Saturday, April 27 from 1-5pm. In partnership with LeBauer Park, this free community event promises a day full of fun activities for kids of all ages.
Healthy Kids Day will feature a wide range of engaging activities, including stage performances, STEM activities for kids and community resources for families. With a focus on youth development, healthy living and social responsibility, the event aims to support children and families while promoting a healthy lifestyle.
"We are excited to bring this large, family-centered event to the community," said Ebony Burnett, YMCA of Greensboro senior association youth development director. "We are honored to create an opportunity, in partnership with LeBauer Park, for families to come together, have fun and learn about the importance of leading a healthy lifestyle."
The event will take place at LeBauer Park, a vibrant and welcoming community space located in the heart of Greensboro. The event will begin with a welcome and a proclamation from Mayor Nancy Vaughan followed by a step performance, kids Zumba, rhythm exercise and a dance party.
