Join the Teen Mental Health Advisory Council!
Are you a high school student passionate about mental health or interested in a career in psychology? The Teen Mental Health Advisory Council (Guilford Chapter) is the perfect opportunity to make a difference while earning service-learning hours in a fun and creative way!

Our mission is to reduce the stigma surrounding mental health and expand access to resources for teens in Guilford County. Open to students in grades 9-12 from any public, private, charter, or homeschool, the council meets in person every 1st and 3rd Tuesday from 5:30 p.m. - 7 p.m. at the Bryan YMCA, running from September 2025 to May 2026.
Cost: $100 for the year
Major Activities Include:
- Mental health trainings
- Job shadowing with mental health professionals
- Speaking at city council, school board, and county commissioners’ meetings
- Overnight leadership retreats
- And much more!
Teens interested must apply before September 2025. Join us and be a part of this impactful initiative to create meaningful change in your community!
